WINCHESTER – Monkey, an 11-year-old domestic short hair cat, is up for adoption.
Darlene Foreman, an animal caretaker at the Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in Winchester, said that Monkey came into the shelter as an owner surrender in the middle of November. Monkey was brought into the shelter with three other cats.
“The owners were moving and they had to get rid of her,” Foreman said.
Foreman said that Monkey is a friendly cat with adults and kids. She said that Monkey is also good around other cats and sometimes OK around dogs.
Foreman said that Monkey loves to lay around and be off by herself. She said that Monkey is also an inside and outside cat.
“[Monkey’s] just an older girl who likes to chill,” Foreman said.
Foreman said that Monkey has been spayed, is up to date on her shots and doesn’t have any health issues.
The adoption fee for Monkey is $40.
