Nibbles, a 2-year-old pony, is available for adoption at the Warren County Humane Society in Front Royal.

FRONT ROYAL – Nibbles, a 2-year-old pony, is up for adoption.

Meghan Bowers, executive director of the Warren County Humane Society, said Nibbles was brought into the shelter in November with four other horses. She said that the horses were surrendered.

“The horses were abandoned by their former owner,” Bowers said. “The owner’s neighbor brought them in. The owner eventually came forward to formally to sign them over.”

Bowers said that Nibbles is friendly with people, but she needs somebody to work with her if people want to ride her. Bowers said that Nibbles is good around other horses and has been OK around dogs.

“[Nibbles] needs an experienced horse owner,” she said.

Bowers said that Nibbles doesn’t have any health issues. The adoption fee for Nibbles is $350.

“It’s expensive, but we want to make sure people who are financially fit enough to take care of her,” Bowers said.

Bowers said that two of the horses that were brought in have already been adopted. She said that the other two horses along with Nibbles are also up for adoption.
