Mountain View's boys cross country team knocked off Clarke County and Rappahannock County on Wednesday in Bull Run District action.

The Generals won the meet, held at Rappahannock County, with 28 points. Clarke County was second with 35 followed by Rappahannock County with 57.

The Generals were led by Charlie Hoover (second, 20:37), Tai Croushore (third, 20:56), Aday Martin-Fonseca (sixth, 21:29), Kyle Layman (seventh, 21:45), Chris Bonnet (10th, 22:29), Landon Brinkley (20th, 25:43) and Micah Nichols (22nd, 26:34).

Mountain View's girls team did not have enough runners for a team score. The Generals were led by Rachelle Anderson (fifth, 29:35), Leah Diehl (eighth, 32:34) and Rosa Martin-Fonseca (11th, 40:59).

Mountain View hosts East Rockingham and Page County on Sept. 28.

Madison County tri meet

Strasburg finished second in the boys meet and third in the girls meet in a tri-meet with The Miller School at Madison County.

Strasburg's boys were led by Gracen Hottle (fifth, 20:02).

Strasburg's girls were led by Claire Keefe (first, 21:08) and Paige Hiserman (third, 23:11).

The Rams participate in the Alleghany County Invitational on Saturday.

William Monroe tri meet

Warren County's boys finished second in a Class 3 Northwestern District tri-meet with Brentsville at William Monroe.

William Monroe won the meet with 22 points, followed by Warren County (38) and Brentsville (80).

The Wildcats were led by Clayton Rankin (second, 19:18), Shea Henson (fourth, 20:12), Billy Carlos (eighth, 21:10), Landon Gray (14th, 22;28), Wyatt Werner (16th, 23:32), Lyle Mora (17th, 23:55) and Joseph Cross (21st, 25:16).

Warren County will participate in the Oatlands Invitational on Saturday.
