Mountain View held off Shenandoah County rival Strasburg for a 3-1 (25-22, 25-27, 25-15, 25-18) home win in Bull Run District volleyball action on Monday night.

The Generals (2-5, 1-3 Bull Run) bounced back after losing a close second set and won the last two sets for their third-straight win over the Rams.

Mountain View was led by juniors Annika Dellinger with 13 kills and Emma Saeler with six kills, 18 digs and 12 service aces. Junior Bre Franklin had six kills and 14 digs and senior Alicia Bare had 14 digs and nine assists for the Generals. Mountain View sophomore Hannah Whitaker had eight assists.

Mountain plays at Madison County on Thursday. Strasburg (0-6, 0-3 Bull Run) hosts Clarke County on Thursday.

Mountain View dual

Mountain View shot a 178 in a home win over East Rockingham on Monday at the Shenvalee Resort.

East Rockingham didn’t have enough golfers to qualify for a team score.

The Generals were led by Henry Bull (40), Emily Racer (42), Andrew Wymer (46), Braxton Biller (50), Nathan Poole (59) and Jason Dinges 60.
