Skyline dominated Warren County in girls soccer action on Skyline’s senior night Thursday. The Hawks won 11-0 over their crosstown rivals in a Class 3 Northwestern District contest.

The Hawks were led by Audrey Dueweke with a hat trick. Annie O’Fallon, Azy Flores and Kaitlin Cramer each had two goals. Shyla Nelson also had a goal. Flores had two assists and Cramer had one assist. CiCi Difiglia had two assists. Morgan Lake, Teaghan Ewing and Hanna Edsell each had one assist.

Laura Brown had two saves for the Hawks. Skyline outshot Warren County 35-2. The Hawks honored their 10 seniors before the game.

Skyline (3-1, 3-1 Class 3 Northwestern) plays at Brentsville on Tuesday. Warren County (1-3, 1-1 Class 3 Northwestern) hosts William Monroe.

BaseballSherando 12, Handley 0, 5 innings

Sherando scored a combined nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings to knock off Handley in Class 4 Northwestern District baseball action in Winchester. The game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.

The Warriors were led by Drew Franchok, who went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and one run scored. James Harris went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored and Cole Armel went 1-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.

Mason See threw a two-hitter and struck out six on the mound.

Sherando (3-4, 3-3 Class 4 Northwestern) plays at Turner Ashby on Saturday.

SoftballSherando 16, Handley 5, 5 innings

The Warriors used an eight-run third inning to break open a close game en route to a Class 4 Northwestern District road win over the Judges.

Clinging to a 3-2 lead in the third, the Warriors scored eight times to take a commanding 11-2 advantage.

Madison Harris went 2-for-2 with four RBIs and three runs scored to lead Sherando. Isabel Hall went 1-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored and Emma Chunta went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for Sherando.

The Warriors (5-1, 5-1 Class 4 Northwestern) play at Washington (W.Va.) on Saturday.

Sherando 3, Handley 0

Wade Butler had a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors to a Class 4 Northwestern District road win over the Judges.

Jacob Hill and Dai Laduca each scored a goal for the Warriors. Conner Saunders had five saves for Sherando.

The Warriors (3-3, 3-3 Class 4 Northwestern) host Kettle Run on Tuesday.

Sherando 7, Handley 2

The Warriors remained undefeated with a Class 4 Northwestern District home victory over the Judges.

Sherando had singles wins by Adelaide Gannon (No. 1, 8-5), Lea Blevins (No. 2, 9-7), Morgan Sutphin (No. 4, 8-5), Emmy Woolever (No. 5, 8-5) and Kendall Clark (No. 6, 8-4).

Sherando had doubles wins by Gannon and Sutphin (No. 1, 8-4) and Woolever and Clark (Mo. 3, 8-4).

The Warriors (9-0, 9-0 Class 4 Northwestern) will host a Class 4 Northwestern District semifinals match on May 21.
