The following are some of the area recreational events that are being held:
RACE FOR SEIZURE FREEDOM
The Race for Seizure Freedom 5k run/walk and one-mile kids fun run will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clarke County Parks and Recreation Center, 225 Al Smith Circle, Berryville.
Guest speakers will be Dr. Paul Lyons and Dr. Lee Selznick. Pony 2 Go will have a small petting zoo. Valley Health will provide food and water. Ice cream will be sold. Prizes awarded.

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will offer walking tours of its new trails sites Oct. 5 at 901 Amherst St., Winchester.
Included in the tour will be a construction update, stops at scenic vistas and a peek inside the transformed silo. Registration is required by Oct. 3.

WALK FOR LIFE
