The following are some of the area recreational events that are being held:

GREEN CIRCLE 5K

Shenandoah Valley Runners will host the Green Circle 5K and Kid’s Mile at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, 901 Amherst St., Winchester.

The registration fee supports the museum and the Pitt-Marquette Challenge, a physical therapy student-led grassroots fundraiser that supports the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research.

Advance registration is $25 or $23 for SVR members for the 5K; $12 or $10 for the Kid’s 1K Run. Race day registration is $30 for the 5K and $15 for the Kid’s Mile.

MMA 5K

Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock will host a Founder’s Day Colonel’s Charge 5K run/walk race at 8 a.m. April 13 at the school’s Memorial Gym. Sign-in starts at 7 a.m. Registration is $20 in advance or $25 on race day for adults and $10 for ages 13 and under. Check-in will be held at the intersection of Indian Springs Road and Water Street in Woodstock.

GIRLS ON THE RUN 5K

Girls on the Run will host a 5K run at 9 a.m. April 27 at Jim Barnett Park in Winchester. Information: 540-431-5320 or email info@girlsontherunsv.org.

EARTH DAY 5K/1K

Page County Public Schools and Page Alliance for Community Action will hold its Earth Day 5K and 1K April 27 starting at the Luray Greenway Mechanic Street parking lot. The 1K will begin at 9:30 a.m. and 5K at 10 a.m.

Registration is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the Kids 1K Run/Walk for ages 8 and under. Registration is free for Page County Elementary and Middle school students. Information: www.pagecoalition.org.
