The following recreation activities are scheduled:

Skate park

A meeting will be held for people interested in a skate park in Strasburg at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Rotary Pavilion at the Strasburg Town Park.

Butterfly Run

The Butterfly Run will be held Oct. 2 at the State Arboretum at Blandy Farm in Boyce to benefit Blue Ridge Hospice.

Fairway 5K

The Fairway 5K Walk/Run will be held Oct. 16 at the Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market to benefit the New Market Community Park Fitness Trail.

National Park reopens fishing

The Shenandoah National Park is reopening catch-and-release fishing since stream flows have recovered to above typical conditions. Information: https://tinyurl.com/mxk9ekv2.
