Lutheran

St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold “Mocha and a Message,” a contemporary worship service with coffee and desserts, today at 6 p.m. at 3623 Back Mountain Road, Winchester. There is no charge, but a free-offering will be collected to benefit community outreach programs.

Hymn sing

The Lord’s Chapel will host a hymn sing featuring Smokey Wilson at 6 p.m. Sunday at 2049 Belgravia Road, Edinburg. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Lutheran

St. James Lutheran Church in Star Tannery will celebrate homecoming at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Kelly Renner Shambers of Oklahoma. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish for lunch that follows.

Brethren

Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg will host “Under the Oaks” starting at 4:30 p.m. Sunday with games, food, homemade ice cream and an old-fashioned cake walk.

An outdoor concert featuring the Grove Youth Band with special performance by the Gospel Brothers will begin at 6 p.m. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit Family Promise of Shenandoah County.

The event will be held rain or shine. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Information: 540-984-8383.

UCC

St. John’s United Church of Christ will celebrate homecoming at 11 a.m. Sunday at 1466 Harrisville Road, Toms Brook. A catered lunch will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring dessert. Information: 540-459-3908.

Baptist

Beulah Baptist Church in Markham will hold its annual Rally Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Pastor Michael Sessoms from Little Union Baptist Church in Dumfries. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. Lunch will be served.
