Bethany Lutheran Church, west of Edinburg, will hold its monthly worship service 2:30 p.m. Sunday.


Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Strasburg will celebrate its 150th anniversary 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Barbara Cousar of John Mann/Wesley United Methodist Church in Winchester. Special music will be by Arthur and Sandra Holloman of Winchester and Voices of Shiloh Baptist Church of Millwood.

Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. at Strasburg United Methodist Church. The morning worship service will be held 9 a.m.

‘Know Your Neighbor’ Iftar

The Islamic Society of Winchester will hold its annual “Know Your Neighbor Iftar” (breaking the fast) event from 7:30-10 p.m. Sunday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 26 W. Boscawen St., Winchester.

The Iftar is a multi-faith occasion with a goal to establish mutual understanding of different cultures and to introduce Muslim neighbors to other neighbors living in the same community.

Antioch Church of the Brethren will host the Friends & Family Tour at 7 p.m. June 21 featuring The Hoppers and The Promiseland Quartet.

Esbie Baptist Church in Strasburg will celebrate Rally Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Raymond Morton from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Middletown. He will be accompanied by his church choir and congregation. A meal will be served after the morning worship service.
