The Shenandoah County School Board approved appointments and transfers of several administrators, including the transfers of two elementary school principals, at its meeting on Thursday night.
W.W. Robinson Elementary School Principal Jennifer Proctor was approved for a transfer to the position of supervisor of federal programs. Proctor has 25 years of teaching and administrative experience in Shenandoah County Public Schools, according to a news release from the division.
Tiffani Utz, who has served as the principal at Ashby Lee Elementary for nearly two years, the release states, will transfer to W.W. Robinson to fill the spot left vacant by Proctor’s transfer. Utz has 29 years of education experience, according to the release.
The School Board also approved Jessica Sager as coordinator of school and community relations and Elizabeth Bereczki as assistant principal at Central High School. The release states that Bereczki, who is coming from Battlefield High in Haymarket, has 12 years of experience in education.
The School Board also approved reassignment of duties for David Hinegarner to assistant superintendent of administrative services and strategic planning.
The division will conduct a search for a new principal at Ashby Lee and will reach out to staff and parents for input on that process, according to the release.
