As excitement for the 2019 Shenandoah County Fair revs up, the fairgrounds has added a new addition to its motorsports lineup of events.

Steve Nace Racing will present Allstar Motorcycle Races at 6 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock. The event will feature flat track motorcycle races with over 100 contestants from across the country.

Fair General Manager Tom Eshelman said he is excited to bring this event to Woodstock.

“We have been trying to secure this event in our schedule for several years, and by moving things around a bit, we were able to accomplish it,” he said.

Eshelman said that he hopes that the Allstar Motorcycle Races will become an annual event during the fair if the crowd demand is there.

Tickets for the races will be $20 for general admission infield and $25 for reserved grandstand seats.

Due to the motorcycle races taking place the Saturday before the fair, other events scheduled for that day have been moved to Aug. 25. The Diesel Truck Drags and Pull will begin at noon on Aug. 25, followed by the County Tractor Pull at 3 p.m. The day will end with the Modified Tractor Pull at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Diesel Day and the County Pull will be $12, and tickets for the County Pull and the Modified Tractor Pull will also be $12. Attendees can attend all three events for $18.

Demolition derbies will return to the fair at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and Aug. 27. Both nights will feature 4-, 6-, and 8- cylinder vehicles with a special “two-man” derby class in the Aug. 26 show, which will feature one man driving and one man operating the brake and accelerator. In addition, a $100 “best in show” prize will be awarded each night.

Tickets for both nights will be $14 for grandstand or track-side seating.

The 2019 Shenandoah County Fair is Aug. 26-31.
