Shenandoah University offensive coordinator Stan Hodgin has been named to the NCAA Football Rules Committee, the school announced on Friday morning.
Hodgin, who has served on Scott Yoder’s staff since the latter took over as SU’s head coach in 2013, is one of 12 voting members on the rules committee and one of three representatives from Division III. Former Shenandoah Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug Zipp, who is now at Ohio Wesleyan University, is another DIII rep on the committee, which is chaired by Stanford University head football coach David Shaw.
Hodgin, whose term runs through August 2024, is one of seven coaches on the rules committee and the lone assistant coach.
“I am proud of Stan for taking on this responsibility,” Yoder states in a news release from SU. “It will be a great deal of work, but will be a valuable professional experience for him and one that I am sure he will find very rewarding.”
