WOODSTOCK– Shenandoah County Sheriff’s officers arrested Christopher Crawford-Duval on Saturday and charged him with abduction and assault.
According to the criminal complaint filed with the Shenandoah County General District Court, Crawford-Duval kept Stephen Ense from leaving his car, punching him multiple times and barring the door.
Ense told officers he tried to remove his keys from the car’s ignition but Crawford-Duval prevented him. According to the complaint, Crawford-Duval repeatedly hit Ense for more than 30 minutes.
Crawford-Duval is being held without bond at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. He faces one charge of felony abduction and one charge of misdemeanor assault. He will appear in court May 17, 2019.
