MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Shenandoah University’s baseball team is the No. 13 team in the country in the latest D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll released Tuesday morning.

The Hornets (10-2) fell at No. 9 Salisbury, 9-7, on the road in their only action last week before the spring season was put on hold by both Shenandoah University and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference amid concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

Shenandoah has 306 points in the latest Top 25 poll, coming in five points back of No. 12 Southern Maine and 14 ahead of No. 14 UMass Boston.

Cal-Lutheran leads the poll with 613 points and 17 first-place votes. Fellow ODAC member Randolph-Macon (585 points, four first-place votes) is ranked second in the nation.

The ODAC announced last Friday it was placing an indefinite suspension on all spring competition, and the NCAA has already canceled all spring championships.
