The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:
The annual Redbud Festival will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the community center in Browntown featuring arts, crafts and vendors. Information: 540-636-3588.
Arbor and Earth Day will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Front Royal Boat Landing Community Picnic Park on the west end of Luray Avenue.
The town is being designated as a Tree City USA for the 19th year. A Tulip Poplar tree will be planted. The Greenway Celebration Walk will follow at 9:30 a.m.
The event is sponsored by the Town of Front Royal, Urban Forestry Advisory Commission, the Beautification of Front Royal Committee and the Front Royal-Warren County Tree Stewards.
Samuels Public Library will host a fundraiser “Once Upon a Time…a Taste for Books” at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Featured will be food, beverages, wines and beers, prizes and silent auction. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite fairy tale character.

Skyline High School in Front Royal will present the musical “Grease” (the school version) at 7 p.m. today through Sunday. Tickets, which will be sold at the door, are $10 for adults and $7 for students, seniors and children.
Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal will host a spring fine arts showcase Sunday in Melton Memorial Gymnasium.
The award-winning Band and Chorus will be joined by individual student performers amid a display of student artwork starting at 2 p.m. The showcase will feature art/robotics viewings and individual/small groups musical performances. The chorus will perform at 3 p.m. and the concert band at 4 p.m.
Bluegrass musicians Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Stonewall Jackson High School in Quicksburg. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Information: 540-852-9222.
Kernstown Battlefield, located at 610 Battle Park Drive, Winchester, will host a Civil Trust Sponsored Park Day at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Visitors’ Center.

Shenandoah Conservatory will present the romantic comedy opera “Cosi fan tutte” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre, 1460 University Drive, Winchester. Tickets range from $12 to $23. Information: www.su.edu/performs.
Luray will host an Arbor Day celebration from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ralph Dean Recreation Park, 625 Sixth St.
The Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood will showcase over 300 artists displaying more than 1,000 pieces of art from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Barns of Rose Hill
Barns of Rose Hill will host the following activities this weekend at 95 Chalmers Court, Berryville:
• Saturday: 8 p.m., concert by Bud’s Collective, tickets $15 in advance, $20 at door, free for ages 12 and under.
• Sunday: 4-6 p.m., Willem Dafoe portrays Vincent van Gogh in Julian Schnabel’s “At Eternity’s Gate.” Tickets: $5 to $8.
