The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:
Empty Bowl SupperShenandoah Alliance for Shelter will hold its annual Empty Bowl Soup Supper from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at Central High School in Woodstock. As in the past, participants will be able to choose a locally made soup bowl and sample up to four kinds of soup donated by local restaurants.
Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for students and youth 18 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the Woodstock Cafe, Sager Real Estate in Strasburg, Edinburg Mill, the Community Store in Basye and the SAS office in Woodstock at 135 S. Main St. (second floor) or online at www.allianceforshelter.org.
Deck the WallsShenArts will host Deck the Walls Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 15 at the Hexagon House, 530 Amherst St., Winchester. Handmade items and original artwork by member artists will be available for purchase.
Preservation of Historic Winchester’s Bough & Dough Shop will also be open.
‘Frozen’ celebrationHandley Library in Winchester will host a Frozen Celebration at 10:30 a.m. Saturday featuring face painting, balloons, craft stations, sing-alongs, stores from the movie and a special meet and greet with Anna and Elsa characters from the movie.
A family four-pack of tickets to the Alamo Drafthouse in Winchester will be raffled. Information: www.handleyregional.org/kids.
Winchester Little TheatreWinchester Little Theatre will present the comedy-thriller “Theft” at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at 315 W. Boscawen St.

Rouss CenterRouss Center for the Performing Arts will present “The Middle of Yesterday” at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at 9357 N. Congress St., New Market.
