Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office deputies have accused two Rockingham County residents of breaking into a Quicksburg home earlier this month.

Dakota Smith, 19, of Singers Glen, and Kayla Lam, 20, of Broadway, were arrested earlier this month and charged with breaking and entering, according to warrants for their arrests.

On July 4, the homeowner reported an incident to the Sheriff’s Office. According to the criminal complaint, cameras on the property identified both Smith and Lam, who later confessed to entering the property.

Smith broke into the same house last August, according to a criminal complaint.

Smith and Lam are being held at the Rockingham County Jail. Smith has a $2,500 secured bond and Lam is being held without bond.

Lam is facing two felony charges in Rockingham General District Court and Smith is facing a petit larceny charge in Rockingham General District Court.
