A Woodstock man was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center on Thursday after a one-vehicle crash, according to a news release from Virginia State Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Brent Coffey.
The release states that Buddy A. Fishel, 45, was northbound on Route 11 just north of Route 672 at about 3:55 p.m. when his 1993 Dodge Spirit crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. The release states that Fishel was not wearing a seat belt and suffered “serious injuries.”
Anne M. Bryant, 41, of Waynesboro, was a passenger and also suffered “serious injuries,” according to the release. She also was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Winchester Medical Center.
The crash is under investigation by Virginia State Trooper M.T. Brill with potential charges pending.
