FRONT ROYAL – The Warren County School Board during its meeting next week will consider the possibility of delaying the first day of school from Aug. 27 to Sept. 8, according to a news release from Superintendent Dr. Chris Ballenger.

Ballenger explains in the release that the delayed opening is recommended “due to the extended delivery timelines of student devices as well as integration of the adopted Learning Management Systems.”

“The change will also give teachers additional time to learn the new Learning Management Systems through which students will access their virtual learning materials and courses,” Ballenger states.
