Corey Stewart (R-Va.) will have a slot on the ballot in November after defeating Nick Freitas in a tightly contested primary race. Stewart will compete against incumbent Tim Kaine (D) for one of Virginia’s two U.S. Senate seats.

Incumbent Barbara Comstock (R-10) and Jennifer Wexton (D) will compete in a highly anticipated race for Virginia’s 10th District. The Cook Political Report has that race leaning slightly Democratic, suggesting the seat is a primary target for Democrats as they try to take control of the House of Representatives in November.

Jennifer Lewis will compete against Del. Ben Cline for the 6th District after easily winning her primary race. Rep. Bob Goodlatte is retiring from Congress, leaving that seat open.
